Pictures from My Album of Memories

Last year, on a cold and windy day, I sat on the driver’s seat of my father’s Nissan RX-8 which had cost him a hefty one million dollars to buy and ship to Pakistan. My heart was beating very hard like a hammer on a nail. I was feeling nervous as I had never drove before. My dad encouraged me to put my foot on the accelerator and off we went like a bullet. I felt a sudden rush in me as we drove and I had a feeling of fun and accomplishment at the same time. I felt superb after the exciting drive and have carried on to drive countless times after that day. I will never forget that eventful day.

Last week, on a clear sunny Sunday , I along with my neighbourers, the Rogers, went for a picnic to the Mayflower beach. As soon as we reached the beach , their kids began to run ahead with their colorful football and kicked it around. Meanwhile, their mother set up the green picnic table and I lent a helping hand to  their father in cooking some delicious kebabs.
Soon the kids grew tired and sat on their comfortable picnic chairs. Their mother served the tasty food and everyone quickly helped themselves to it. After the sun set , we packed our things and called it a day.

Yesterday , I opened my cupboard and got shocked to see my cat, Kalia, hiding inside. I didn’t understand how Kalia got there in the first place. I went close to pick up Kalia, but to my surprise, it got irritated and resisted a lot, until finally it jumped on me and scratched my face. I was stunned like anything. I pushed her outside into my lawn and quickly cleaned my face with Dettol. Suddenly, I heard the screeching sounds of a car's tires. I hurried outside to see what had happened there. Outside the gate, there wasn’t any car, but Kalia was lying dead on the road in the pool of blood around. For a while, I gasped for more air. I was angry with Kalia but could never imagine of losing it that way!

Last week, I was sitting in my lawn looking at the sky when I saw my dad come running towards me. I got startled with no idea what was going on until he told me that the results of my exams were declared. I was pounding with curiosity on hearing that. Then, I quickly logged on to my computer. I opened the mailbox to check them. Luckily, I had passed with flying colors. I felt a sense of sheer joy which was uncontrollable. I had been a voracious reader and  was expecting a good result. I told my family about my excellent performance and they all congratulated me. We had a huge party that same night. They were really very memorable moments.
