Corrupt Leaders

Dear Editor,
As we all know, Pakistan is a country rich in natural resources like water, energy, carbon and coal etc. Still Pakistani economy is going through huge crisis due to the current economic recession around the globe. Although Pakistani Government has been claiming to save Pakistan from the global downturn, but it is not really true. Unfortunately, we have become the victim of social, political and economic problems because of our corrupt leaders.
Presently, our major problems are poverty, illiteracy, terrorism, child labor, inflation, food crisis, unemployment, corruption, injustice, load-shading of electricity and gas, impure water, less health and educational facilities, and, poor transportation system. In other words, we have all kinds of massive issues.
On the other hand, as Muslims, our faith is very weak. This is another major reason we lost the insight to follow the right path in our worldly matters and choose good and sincere leaders on the criterion given by our religion, Islam. Consequently, ALLAH has inflicted corrupt leaders upon us because of our sins. We can get rid of them through ‘Tauba’ and ‘perfect obedience to His orders.
Secondly, we have to change our educational system. We need a system that can educate us in a real sense through inculcating critical thinking among us. When we are able to think and analyze, then we will be able to choose good and sincere leaders. This system can only be the one that is a combination of religious and contemporary worldly education.
Yours Truly,
S.Fatima  Farooq
